Background
ChoiceNet was founded in 2004 by Mike Orchard to provide a low cost internet design service aimed at not-for-profit organisations, churches and smaller-lesser-developed businesses (SLDBs).

Being on the internet is no longer just an option to consider but virtually a necessity if you want to stay relevant in today’s culture.  However, getting a website onto the internet has remained out of the reach of many smaller organisations. ChoiceNet was created to simplify that process (and remove some of the mystery) by creating an affordable one-stop-shop to help such organisations to get online.

Mike has been designing websites since 1998. However, he originally started work in 1988 for DPM a not-for-profit organisation where he developed desktop publishing skills creating product flyers and other promotional material. He moved on from there to work for UCB-Europe another not-for-profit organisation where he managed the administration and marketing department.

Since that time he has obtained a BSc(Hons) and a postgraduate diploma.  His wife Wenjia also provides specialist help in the running of Chinese language based websites. Wenjia is an accomplished, award winning, television journalist with a BA degree and diploma in journalism.
